We sterilize any and all instruments after use, or after the sterile seal has been broken. We use FDA-approved sterilizers for all our instruments and if an instrument is unable to be sterilized, we dispose of it properly after a single use.
We use EPA-registered disinfectants to clean our entire office. We have long utilized these disinfectants between each patient to clean every touched surface during and after a procedure.
We have always had ventilation systems that work to remove particles from the air and circulate clean airflow throughout our offices.
We have hand sinks available for patients throughout our practice. Many of these stations include hands-free soap and automatic paper towel dispensers.
New Measures: COVID-19
Our team has always gone the extra mile when it comes to keeping our office safe and sparkling clean! With the current COVID-19 pandemic, we have upgraded our cleaning and infection control measures even further.
PPE for You & Our Team
PPE has always, and continues to be, mandatory for all procedures in our office. In addition to wearing facemasks and gloves like we normally do, we will also now be wearing sterile gowns, face shields, and—in some cases—sterile scrub caps. You may notice our front team members and office staff wearing PPE; this is to help ensure the safety of anyone who enters our practice.
Pre-Screening Text Message
Once you schedule your appointment, you will receive a text message with a brief COVID-19 questionnaire. We will call you to follow up depending on your responses.
Temperature Checks & COVID-19 Screening
All team members will have their temperatures checked, and be asked a few screening questions before starting their workday. When you arrive, we will also need to check your temperature and ask you questions as well. We may need to reschedule your appointment in the event of a fever or in response to your answers. We are doing this as a precaution to help ensure your safety, as well as the safety of others.
Patient Room Disinfecting
We have always followed strict disinfection protocols and have increased our sanitization practices even more. Instead of simply sanitizing and disinfecting our treatment rooms between patients, you may notice plastic barriers covering most surfaces. These barriers are removed and properly disposed of after each patient. Before putting on a new cover, everything in the patient room is sanitized and disinfected using EPA-registered disinfectant.
We are constantly sanitizing and disinfecting any surface a patient may touch.
Any procedure that can be performed without generating aerosols will be completed without them. In the event that a procedure requires aerosols, we have implemented high-volume aerosol suction in all our patient rooms.
In addition to our state-of-the-art ventilation system, we have implemented medical-grade air sanitizers with UVC light to capture and kill any virus in all patient rooms and waiting areas.
To abide by the current regulations, we have also introduced social distancing measures in all of our offices.
We are limiting the number of people in our offices; minors and patients who need assistance are the only exceptions. Please call ahead to let us know if you require extra accommodation.
Patient Room Spacing
We are currently only seeing one patient at a time to ensure distancing between appointments.
You may notice the seating arrangements in our office have changed; this is to allow the six-foot recommendation of physical distance between any patients who must sit in the waiting area.
Strategically Scheduling Appointments
We are making sure to schedule appointments strategically in order to limit the amount of people entering and leaving the office at the same time.
When you arrive, please park and call our office to let our team know you are here. When we are ready to see you, we will give you a call back or send you a text message to come inside.
Once you have finished your appointment, you will be checked out in a sanitized and disinfected consult room with one of our team members. This team member will be wearing the proper PPE to ensure your safety as well as their own.
How Can You Help
We are doing everything in our power to keep you safe. Here’s how you can do your part to safeguard yourself, other patients, and our team members against infection:
We are requiring anyone who enters our office to wear a facemask. If you do not have a face covering with you, please call the office before entering and we can provide you with one.
Book Multiple Appointments On the Same Day
When you book more than one appointment on the same day, you are not only helping our offices, but yourself as well. This limits the number of times you need to leave your house.
You can book ahead and pre-pay for your appointments before you enter our office. This limits the how long you are in the office outside of your allotted appointment time. Click here to book your appointment online.
