Facelift Scars

Dr. Leber places his facelift incisions in a well concealed location just in front of the ear in a natural crease extending around the earlobe and then behind the ear.  This is considered a short scar facelift as the incision does not extend into the hairline above or behind the ear.  This eliminates some of the tell tail signs of facelift surgery such as a “posteriorly displaced hairline” above the ear and the visible “posterior hairline step off” that is often seen behind the ear.  Special attention is also made to make a natural earlobe avoiding an earlobe stuck to the face “pixie earlobe” and a normal tragus position to prevent a “scared pulled forward tragus” that leads to a direct view of the internal ear canal.
